Testimonials

The Stettler Adult Learning Centre has made an indelible impact on Stettler and County of Stettler communities. As a staff member at MH Enterprises Employment Services, I have had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the transformative work carried out by SALC.

The SALC’s unwavering commitment to education, community empowerment, and holistic development is truly commendable. Through strategic and responsive programs, they have not only enriched the lives of individuals but have also significantly contributed to the overall well-being of our communities by filling identified educational and foundational learning gaps.

What sets the Stettler Adult Learning Centre apart is their ability to tailor programs to meet the diverse needs of our community members. Their inclusive approach and friendly staff foster an environment where everyone, regardless of background or circumstance, can access valuable resources and opportunities for growth.

It is with great pleasure that I offer this testimonial in recognition of the Stettler Learning Centre's positive influence in the Stettler and surrounding communities.

HCA

I didn’t want to pass up the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in a field with high demand from the comfort of my community.

Classes, labs, and clinical experience were all right in town. Class sizes are small allowing for increased interaction as well as one on one opportunities.

Completing the course left me feeling capable and qualified; I was able to work as an HCA in Stettler as soon as I earned my certificate.

It’s clear Campus staff really want to see you succeed and will ensure you have the the resources and support to do so.

PN

After having success doing the Heath Care Aide off-campus certificate program and working in my community as an HCA, I wanted to further my education. When the PN program was being offered in Stettler I leaped at the opportunity to receive a diploma right in my hometown.

The teacher to student ratios are small, allowing for increased participation and access to additional support if needed. Teachers come to you, clinical experience can be done here and classes are right in Stettler. Having a large lab complete with hospital beds and clinical learning tools created a wel- rounded experience.

Taking college level, in-class courses without having to relocate was both reassuring and practical.  I cannot say enough positive remarks about the environment provided by the campus, the support from staff, and my personal as well as professional growth throughout the course. I felt knowledgeable, eager, and prepared entering the workforce. It resulted in earning a valuable diploma and securing a job as a practical nurse in Stettler!
